After the death of Dulari, we still wanted another F3 (3rd generation away from the Asian Leopard Cat) female for our breeding stock. We loved Dulari's mother so much, and we were put back on the waiting list for her next litter(s). Well, the next 2 litters Luci had, only had 1 kitten. My friend wanted to keep that female, and since she does own the mother, what the heck. But she did promise me I get the very next female kitten. Please remember those famous last words...... Luci's next litter, again only had 1 kitten. This time, instead of a brown spotted baby, she had only 1 brown marble baby (Windy). Well, remembering the words of I get the next female kitten......I got the kitten. I saw this little person when she was about 2 weeks old. Wow, even then! The next time I saw her, she was 12 weeks old, and an even bigger WOW! Of course, the breeder didn't want to let her go, even as I walked out the door with her. Even today, I get, "I'll take her back if you don't want her any more." Yeah right. And what planet are you from?! Windy, for being closer to the wild, has such a sweet personality. Not a mean bone in her beautiful body. Her temperament is outstanding. Her coat is so soft. Her color and pattern rivals any show cat that is out there today. Unfortunately, I can't show her. With the Bengals, you can show the 4th generation and out. She has the smallest rounded ears I have ever seen on a Bengal. When you look at her straight on, her expression is, "WHAT?!?!?" She loves to ride on your arm. She will fall asleep on the stair case railing (makes me a nervous wreck), much like a cat in the wild sleeping on a tree branch. Windsong is certainly a personality, look, and a great source of joy and love. She will be treasured by me for many years to come.
