Samurai's Cat Tale

It was close to Christmas, and my husband decided I needed another Bengal.  Oh darn!  Not another Bengal!  (He, he, he, you know I was just kidding, don't you?)  He called around to a few local breeders, and went with a friend to check them out.

We wanted a different bloodline to work with, and a show quality cat as well.  Guess what?!  I got a wonderful Christmas present of Samurai!  Oh my gosh (!) was this kitten not only spectacular, but his temperament was fantastic!  Okay ladies, you know how hard it is to find a good looking guy with a great personality, etc., etc, and I could gush on and on, but I don't want to bore you all.

Samurai did well at the shows, and made Champion at his first adult show.  He loved the show life.  People to pet him, he would break out into a major purr puddle.  I even had a few judges comment that he must be drugged, as no adult male is that sweet.  He is that sweet and more!

My biggest heartache was that Samurai had a genetic defect with his back legs, and that was the end of his show career, and any chance of being a breeder.  It wasn't any thing that could have been predicted when he was a kitten, and the breeder did replace him with another kitten of my choice.

Today, Samurai is still with me.  He is just a very expensive pet, but he is still the same beautiful big boy who is a love.

pawprint With warmest of spotted bellies!
