Here's a story......of a lovely lady (Star), who gave birth to 3 sweet little girls. Oh....I'm sorry, that song belongs to a TV show! However, the beginning was very true. Star's first litter, she had 3 sweet little girls. 2 brown spotted babies, and a brown marble. This was our very first litter as Desertstar Bengals. It was so exciting. Star was (and still is) a wonderful mom. She was very protective of her little kittens, even with me.

How amazing to watch these little miracles of God growing and developing into such sweet and ever changing babies. Every day was a new wonder to watch and see these 3 babies grow. Eyes opening, starting to motate around the birthing box, getting out of the box and the ever loving "bink" stage of their little lives. Learning how to climb up on the bed, and the cuddling with Mom and Dad at night. Oh, our first litter of bouncing baby Bengals was certainly a great experience.

Well, out of these 3 little girls, was our little pick, Diamond in the Rough. Her sisters were Ms. Packman (as she had the perfect Packman with the gobble thing) on her shoulder, and Marbles. Packey and Marbles were sold, and Diamond was our very first registered kitten under our cattery.

She is just a beautiful girl. Golden color, rosettes, the softest coat, and a real terror to the other cats when she is pregnant! Well, her mother, Star, is the same way. Diamond didn't like being shown, so we didn't pursue that with her. If it isn't fun for the cat, they won't behave for the judges.

Today, Diamond has produced some absolutely stunning kittens. She is one of my true sluts when it comes to teaching a new boy the tricks of breeding. She does a mother proud! She is my sweet girl who loves to cuddle with me. I have her stay with Bear when she isn't breeding. They get along together great, even when she is pregnant. She will continue to be a special girl in my heart, as she was the first Desertstar baby.
