8.13.07 Hi-do-ho all you Bengal fans out there. This is your local show reporter coming to you with the latest report from the show this past weekend in Arcadia, CA. Yes, inquiring minds want to know, that is why all my Bengals are all here gathered around the computer just waiting for me to type. It can't be that they are hungry for food, as I just fed them. So without further delay - and very large cup of tea, let's get started! Lots of beautiful cats and kittens were in "Bengal Row", any of which could easily come home with me. I get to brag about my sweet little girl, Mia. She didn't get any finals, but she is a beautiful baby. In case you can't figure out how to say her name, it is pronounced Ma-Lee-a, or MIA for short. That stands for Missing In Action - as she is my little Houdini at the house. She is 18 months old, and never has been at a show before. She was very well behaved, except at the last ring yesterday, when she tried to live up to her name M.I.A. Then yesterday driving to the show, she scrapped the fur on the bridge of her nose, so she looked a mess. She was trying to get out of the carrier. She is sitting by me as I type, looking as beautiful as she can be. I did want to mention 2 kittens in particular, which belong to Canie Brooks and Anthony Hutcherson. Both are just stunning with their rosettes, and great heads to match. Canie's baby has a pretty white tummy too. I was so tempted to put them under my shirt, but I think the big give away would have been the moving lumps - darn! Oh, and Canie knows where I live too. I had a great time this weekend - as I wasn't at work - but most of all, I had a chance to visit with all my cat-a-tonic friends. The biggest plus was spending time with Mia, and getting to show her off. I only have one complaint, which was Connie Pealer sold me dud raffle tickets both days - but who can resist Connie Pealer when she goes around asking you to buy them. We all love Connie! I would like to say thank you to all who were there, and for sharing your lovely babies with us. It is a real treat. I will be anxious to see how all the kittens grow up to stunning adults. That's my report this time around.
