7.30.01 This is what I sent to the Bengal list for the show report this past weekend. I am thoroughly exhausted, but it was worth every second spent there. My little girl did very well on Sunday, and was well behaved in all the judging rings. Not bad for her first show. There was an extremely large class of Bengal kittens there, and the competition was really tough. Okay, like you have to understand, that I am really tired, and you must be reading this in like Valley talk. Our fearless leader and President of TIBCS has gone BLONDE! She envied me for all my brainless goofs, and decided to join the world of "duh" Blondes! Yes, Anita Klinger has decided that from now on, all the difficult decisions, will like, just go away! Blondes have that natural ability to put any thing really important out of their minds. Trust me, I can do it without even thinking! Anita and I had a wonderful time discussing all the great reasons to be a blonde this weekend. I would also like to welcome Diana Star to Southern California, and hope to see her competing at some of our local shows. It was fun chatting with her for a few minutes yesterday. I look forward to the time she can come and visit me here in the desert. Okay, on to the show report. Let me tell you what super cats and kittens attended this show! There were enough kittens for a congress, had we thought about it in time to have one. There was a wonderful variety of colors there too. In the adult class we were represented by: Khyaraghendu Baby Nauvo of Marblerose, owner - Annette Sanchez; Hugable Grumblestilskin, owner - Linda Mosher; Millwood Maximus of Mainstreet, owner - Debbie Corns; Elitebengals Storm, owner - Juan & Maribel Gonzalez; Kingsmark All That Jazz, owner- Karen Sausman... that was the brown marble division... Almaden La Bella Dong of Dreamland, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Tejas Nevera Lone of Merkaba, owner - Jill Burnett; Alcat Nicholas of Starbengal, owner - Earl Shropshire; Nikes Perfect Dreamland, owner - Lora Honikel; Bengalxpress Midas, owner - Rhonda Hauffe/agent: Phyllis Hauffe; Rakamanji, owner - Lanette & Monte Burke; Mainstreet Dakota, owner - Debbie Corns... that was the brown spotted division... Goldenmagi Sundance of Wildvision, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring & Pam Sharp... seal mink spotted tabby. The rosettes went to (not in any particular order, and I'm sure I missed quite a few): Dreamland Bella, Mainstreet (not quite sure which one or if both her adults received rosettes), Elitebengals, and a wonderful surprise for Barbara Quiring of Wildvision, her mink snow boy, Sunny, became a champion today! She was really unbearable on the drive home (we ride together) with her constant bragging about her boy. Some people! I was almost ready to stop her truck that I was driving, and make her ride in the bed! Only kidding. We joke about that all the time. The kitten class was unbelievable! Any of these kittens could have and should have gotten best Bengal. It was truly a large roll of paper towels to catch all the drool show! We were represented by: Bengoria Billy's Baby Jane, owner - Lora Honikel & Connie Pealer; Desertstar's Painted Lady, owner - the wonderful blonde typing this... ME!!!!!; Dawnstar Nohaa of Leopardlane, owner - Ruth Hodges; Koppiekatz Shady Lady, owner - Bruce & Viki Safley; Ocelli African Mask, owner - Kevin Costa... that was the brown marble division... Ocilli Vision Quest, owner- Earl Shropshire & Kevin Costa; Goldenmagi Kenya of Elitebengals, owner - Juan & Maribel Gonzalez; Exoticrose Warren BD, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Stageone Destiny of Exoticrose, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper;Millwood Bembe of Dawnstar, owner - Anita Klinger; Mainstreet Shock Wave, owner - Debbie Corns; Mainstreet Versace of Azwildcats, owner - Kate Mitchem; Bengalxpress Maia Picasso, owner - Linda Bullard; Dreamland Hercules, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Goldenmagi Weeamara, owner - Pam Sharp; Kingsmark Kitten, owner - Karen Sausman;Bengalxpress Sierra, owner Rhonda Hauffe/agent: Phyllis Hauffe; Desertstar's Kamiko, owner - Jan Deady (who?!) &Gary Jesse; Bengoria Annie Oakley, owner - Mark Spitler; Exoticrose Basil, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Dawnstar Rising Sun, owner - Anita Klinger; Dreamland Pretty Penny, owner - Lora Honikel & Connie Pealer; Bengoria Jesse James, owner - Mark Spitler; Goldenmagi Africa of Elitebengals, owner - Juan & Maribel Gonzalez... that was the brown spotted division (gasp for air... gasp for a break of typing all those names!) Goldenmagi Coupe Noire, owner - Pam Sharp; Aluren Carmel Kisses of Wildriver, owner - Sylvia Durando... seal mink marble & spotted division. The rosettes were really spread around over the 2 days. Bengalxpress, Goldenmagi, Elitebengals, Bengoria, Dreamland, Dawnstar (and I am to mention that Rising Sun is from Anita's Eve- as Anita told me with great pride and a big smile on her blonde face), the little seal mink spotted girl did quite well with quite a few finals (which doesn't happen very often for snows on the West Coast), and my little Painted Lady received 3 finals today. Sorry about the extra brag there, but heck! I'm writing the show report! In the Assessment Class (formally known as the NBC class), we were represented by: Wildvision Moody Blue, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring... a blue marble... Silvergene's Son Ascendant, owner - Linda Evans, Rick Palmer & Earl Shropshire... ebony spotted golden tabby... Silvergenes Splendor of Starbengal, owner - Earl Shropshire; Silvergenes Pandora, owner - Linda Evans & Rick Palmer; Silvergenes Captain Picard, owner - Linda Evans & Rick Palmer... silvers. All were wonderful representations of the Bengal breed, and Linda and Rick have done a wonderful job with the silvers. The markings and HUGE rosettes they are getting on their cats is out of this world! Barbara is doing a wonderful job with the blues. And why not? Her female came from me! Yep, I'm still bad folks! I would like to mention how wonderful it was to have Tricia Hogan of Stageone, back at the show with us this weekend. It was truly special to have her back competing again. Welcome back Tricia! I'm sure I have forgotten a few finals for people, and if I did, I'm a blonde... and a tired one at that. If any one else can come up with more, please do! Again, I would like to congratulate all the breeders who attended this show. What a wonderful way to spend a weekend gawking over all the beautiful cats and kittens. The strides that have been made are nothing short of amazing!
