Irvine Show Report

Good morning one and all. What a weekend of beautiful cats and kittens! Each and every one were just breath taking, and all should have come home with a best cat or kitten rosette!

Lots of cats and owners for me to type, so here we go!

In the adult class the cats are as follows: QGC Joykatz Saiph of Desertstar, owner - the one and only Me! That is the Brown Marble division. . . Dreamland Revelation of Marblerose, owner - Annette Sanchez; Goldenmagi George Brett HOFFER, owner - Terri Kamaunu; Starbengal Sahara of Kalanikats, owner - Natasha Kalani; Wildvision Buckshot, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring; Exoticrose Diving Lady, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Exoticrose Porcelain Doll, owner - Kathy Krista & Shirley Piper; Exoticrose Tiny Dancer, owner, Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Goldenmagi Praha, owner - Pam Sharp; Mainstreet's Spartigus, owner - Debbie & Rick Corns; Millwood Epitimee, owner - Jean Mill . . . That was the Brown Spotted division . . . Marblerose Isreal, owner - Anette & Robert Sanchez; Wildvision Komet, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring . . . Seal Mink Spotted division . . . Kutabays Faith Hill, owner - Natalie Sullivan . . . Seal Mink Marble division

The rosettes went to (in no particular order or amounts): Dreamland Revelation of Marblerose, Wildvision Buckshot, Exoticrose Divine Lady, Exoticrose Porcelain Doll, Exoticrose Tiny Dancer and Wildvision Komet. I would like to congratulate Kathy Krysta and Shirley Piper on the beautiful girls they were showing! It has been quite some time that we have had so many girls being shown. For the past 6 or 7 shows I have attended, we have had all males with the exception of 1 or 2 females. Since I am typing this, I would like to comment on the old man of the show (no not Chuck Pealer) my sweet boy Saiph. He didn't get any finals, but did place in color (duh being the only brown marble) but also some division and breed placings as well. He is such a pleasure and joy to take to the shows. His laid back personality, his intense green eyes that hypnotize you, and his absolute beauty (or should I say studlyness). My weekends with Saiph are absolutely priceless. Okay, that's all the ranting I will do for now.

The kitten class was represented as follows: Summermist Diplomat, owner - Sheila & John Fowler; Koppiekatz Tequila Sunrise, owner - Viki & Bruce Safely; Belara Jordan of Sivlerose, owner - Annette Sanchez; Kutabays Bonnie Raitt, owner - Natalie Sullivan; Kutabays Susan Tedeschi, owner - Natalie Sullivan; Kudabays Pat Benatar, owner - Natalie Sullivan; Desertstar's Mystical Hunter, owner - Jan Deady (that's me) & Laura Laskay; Dreamland Goliath, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Calcutta Kahlua of Koppiekatz, owner - Viki & Bruce Safely; Wildvision Nala, owner - Glen Piccininno; Kalanikats Monte Carlo, owner - Natasha Kalani; Camelottaspots Flaming Torch, owner - Arden Morley; Camelottaspots Castleguard, owner - Arden Morley; Enchantedtails Rousseau, owner - Holly Erickson; Dreamland Milani of Exoticrose, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Exoticrose Golden Amber, owner - Kathy Krysta & Shirley Piper; Sutterbuttes Peja, owner - Travis Boyan; Sutterbuttes Michael Jordan, owner - Sue Boyan; Mainstreet Special Effects, owner - Debbie & Rick Corns. . . Brown Spotted division . . . Wildvision Jean Harlow, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring . . . Seal Mink Marble division . . . Wildvision Sirrus, owner - Barbara & Tom Quiring . . . Seal Spotted Lynx division. . .

The rosettes went to (in no particular order or amounts): Mainstreet Special Effects, Exoticrose Golden Amber, Dreamland Goliath, Summermist Diplomat, Koppiekatz Tequila Sunrise, Kalanikats Monte Carlo, one of the Kutabay kittens (sorry, there were 3 being shown, and no one to ask which one received the rosette), Wildvision Jean Harlow, and Camelottaspots Flaming Torch. This was an amazing class of kittens. I know I say this on each show report, but it is the truth. The kittens are getting better and better. The wild looking heads, the markings, the temperaments, the amount of amazing kittens that come to the shows! They all took my breath away! Had I worn the right clothes, I might have snagged a kitten or two to take home. However, I don't think the owners would have appreciated that, so I changed my mind. Besides, some of them know where I live, and I think I would have been the first place they would have looked.

I would like to thank Doug and Junko Neibauer of Asahi Bengals for letting me stay with them again for the Irvine show. As always, their home was warm and inviting. I hit the big traffic going to their house on Friday - it took me 3 1/2 hours to get there from my house - and I had dinner waiting for me! Wow! Junko came with me to the show both days, and Saturday night when we got home, Doug had dinner waiting as we walked in the door. It was absolutely wonderful! I truly feel blessed and very rich having such wonderful friends like Doug and Junko.

pawprint With warmest of spotted bellies!
