Arcadia Show Report

Let me tell you what a stunning group of cats were there over the weekend. The cats and kittens were truly the best I've seen yet. How these Bengals can get better and better is amazing, and I am very proud to be a part of this process.

I would like to thank Canie Brooks for making the run around the benching cages to get the number of the cats who received rosettes at this show. I was in 4 rings back to back, and people were starting to break down their areas. Without her help, there wouldn't have been a show report. Thank you so much Canie!

A few things I would like to mention. First, welcome to Tim and Jennifer Allen, who are new to the wonderful world of Bengals and to showing. They are a delightful couple who just had a blast showing their cats. They are both so eager to learn every thing they can, and they have beautiful babies.

I would like to give a special thanks to every one at the show who really made this a good and wonderful experience for every one. I had a rough Mother's Day this year, and I really needed a soul replenishing weekend with Saiph. It's hard working on Mother's Day in retail watching every one rushing to buy the last minute flowers, cards, balloons or candy. Not being able to call my mom, send her a card, or flowers really made it a hard day. I think I spent the first 3 hours of my 6 hour shift crying and being weepy. Not too fair to my customers. This weekend was wonderful, and I feel much better. Spending time with Saiph is always wonderful. I also brought his son, Cobalt, a blue marble to the show just to exhibit. He's just as sweet as his dad, and so beautiful. What a way to spend a weekend. So many wonderful friends, and all the gorgeous cats. I even won one of the big regional raffle prizes! Not the cat tree like last month - so I bought one!

Again, I would like to thank all the wonderful Bengal breeders for sharing their sweet babies with the rest of us. I almost got away with stuffing one of Barbara and Tom Quiring's kittens in my shirt, but it was moving too much. I think they figured it out - darn! I did tell them not to look in my truck or at my house if one of the kittens came up missing. I didn't get that far. Besides, they know where I live - double darn!

pawprint With warmest of spotted bellies!
