12.15.03 The cats and kittens at this show were all WOW! Even the judges admitted that these Bengals were the best they have seen yet, and to have so many in one show. . . how could they pick one over the others. I could have stuffed them all under my shirt, but I think the big boys would have either sprayed me or caused a fight. Okay, I'll let the correct owners take their babies home - darn! I was a fool by showing both an adult and kitten this time around. Nothing like running from one end of the hall to the other running a cat to a ring, to run to another ring to take one out. . .or put one in. I think only once they were nice enough to have the 2 rings next to each other so I could watch both rings at once. Starting with the adult class, we were represented by: Dreamland Revelation of Marblerose, owner - Anette Sanchez; Silverdrose Goldenmagi Penny, owner - Pam Sharp/Annette Sanchez; Wildvision Nala, owner - Glenn Piccininno; Kutabays BB King, owner - Natalie Sullivan; Kutabays Pat Benatar, owner - Natalie Sullivan; Elitebengals Don Juan of Bishops Bengals, owner - Karen Bishop; Goldenmagi George Brett HOFER, owner - TL Kamaunu; Goldenmagi Going to California, owner - TL Kamaunu; Dreamland Goliath, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Dreamland Lucy, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Kingsmark Original Gold, owner - Karen Sausman; Amantra African Dream of Kalika, owner - Janice Tyler; Catspaw Bengals Gold Flake, owner - L. I do want to make mention about the Snow's at this show. The West Coast usually isn't the best place to show the Snow's (trust me on this one, I speak from experience). However, the beautiful adults (and even kittens) did very well at this show. It was nice to see the judges appreciate them. A big thumbs up to you Snow breeders! Now for the kitten class. The kitten class was phenomenal. As in the adult Snow division, the kittens were equally nice. It will be great to see these babies compete in the adult class before too long. Just a super bunch of Bengal babies! Now comes my personal note (since I am writing this, you have to put up with it). Neither one of my boys received a final this time around, which is perfectly okay. What can I say about Saiph, besides he is a beautiful boy who really enjoys being at the shows. He hold his own in the color ribbons, and even can come up with division or breed too. I absolutely love my special time with Saiph, and I'll continue to bring him as long as he likes coming. My sweet Aramis (and part of the 3 Meowsketeers - there were 3 brothers in the litter) did okay in color. He came down with the runny eye syndrome at the show (some thing with the show cages I guess). At home his eyes are fine. He was well behaved, and for showing him for the first time at almost 7 months old, I'd say he did very well. This boy of mine has tiny little ears, a real wild face, but his pattern (he is a marble baby) needs to be a bit more defined. He'll grow up to be a beautiful big boy. This show was bitter sweet for me. As some of you know, I lost both my parents the first part of October. My dad and I talked about him coming to this show with me, however, he felt it was more important to be with my mom. I felt my parents with me this weekend, but I would prefer them to be with me in the flesh not in spirit. I would like to give a special thanks to every one of my Bengal breeder friends who helped to make this show a little easier for me emotionally. I would like to thank all the breeders for sharing their beautiful cats and kittens with us all. I am looking forward to the next show in January. You should all be proud of your babies. They all took my breath away!
