Irvine Show Report

This was a 3 day show, but I could only attend Saturday and Sunday. The Bengal class was huge for both adults and kittens. So many beautiful cats and kittens and me without an extra carrier or two. Bad planning on my part! I was showing both an adult and a kitten, so most of my time was watching and running. I don't think I ever had a chance to sit and watch an entire ring from start to finish.

Since I have a ton of typing to do with the cats and their owners, let me tackle that first off.

I hope I got them all, as most of you exhibitors didn't have your cats' numbers up on your cages. Makes it hard when I walk around to see who got what - hint, hint!

My kids didn't get any thing this time around, but it doesn't matter. Saiph is still my sweet boy, who just makes me smile to be with him for the weekend. Sweet little Calcutta is still the smallest one in the kitten class, but sometimes she did get a 2nd or 3rd in color (out of 4 brown marble kittens). Some day I will learn not to put her in the hot setting of the dryer. I think that makes her shrink. She behaved well in the ring, and that is half the battle of showing.

All of the cats and kittens that were there over the weekend were just stunning. I truly enjoy my time with all these other cat nuts, and who I consider my friends. I would like to thank each and every one of them for producing some of the best Bengals I have even seen. You all deserve to give yourselves a big pat on the back for all your efforts to produce such stunning and beautiful cats.
