Good morning one and all. Working on 1/2 cup of coffee so far, which is not nearly enough, I'll take a stab at the Arcadia show report.

I was showing in the kitten class, and I did get a chance to see a couple of the adult rings. Even though our numbers were small compared to past shows, the competition was great. So many beautiful cats and kittens being shown, and I didn't bring a large enough purse to sneak them all out with! Bad planning on my part.

There were 10 kittens competing. Okay, actually 9 on Saturday, and 10 on Sunday. Heather Roberts baby boy turned 4 months on Sunday (but not officially until 5:30 pm....should I cry foul?). We were represented by: Chaparral Sweet Swirl, owner - Agatha Slowinska; Bengoria Stetson of Dreamland, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Desertstar's Painted Lady, owner - why this lovely blonde writing this show report! That was the brown marble division. Belair Bengals Samsara, owner - Laryce & Jacques Vidal; Lateadakats Stoli of Dreamland, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Nicki Nicketa, owner - Jan Giacinto; Chaparral Double Helix, owner - Heather Roberts; Belair Bengals Genji, owner - Laryce & Jacques Vidal. That was the brown spotted division. We had 2 beautiful examples of snows at the show both Seal Mink's. Goldenmagi Coupe Ivoire, owner Pam Sharp is a marble; Chaparral Velvet Painting, owner - Heather Roberts, is a spotted. Both wonderful examples of the snows. The rosettes were well divided among the kittens. Dreamland's kittens Stetson and Stoli both received finals, Jan Giacinto of Cheetahtu had a HUGE 6 month old female with an extremely wild face. She did very well with the finals on Saturday. Heather Roberts kids both received finals. Her beautifully rosetted snow spotted girl is just stunning. Her little button of a baby boy, Helix, was the smallest baby there. He was constantly put between the 2 largest kittens, and looked like he could be a fun toy for either one of the big kitties. He was recognized as an outstanding kitten by Judge Deborah Reed. Laryce & Jacques Vidal of Belair Bengals big boy received a rosette or two over the weekend. Now for my brags for Lady. This was her last kitten show (sniff), but she did very well. It is wonderful to have a beautiful girl like Lady, but she behaves so wonderfully too. On Sunday she received 3 Best of Breeds, and finalled in all 3 rings! I am so very proud of my little girl, and she is such a pleasure to have at the shows. My brag is over now. You can all uncover your eyes.

There were 8 adults being shown over the weekend. The only marble was Bengoria Billy's Baby Jane, owner - Lora Honikel & Connie Pealer; The brown spotted were: Lavonas Tribaluv Glo Mo Gem Simba, owner - La Vona Swearingen-Nelson; Millwood Samikazi Samurai, owner - Laryce & Jacques Vidal; Elitebengals Storm, owner - Juan & Maribel Gonzalez; Dreamland Hercules, owner - Chuck & Connie Pealer; Dreamland Pretty Penny, owner - Lora Honikel & Connie Pealer; Goldenmagi Weeamara, owner - Pam Sharp; Goldenmagi Kenya of Elitebengals, owner Juan & Maribel Gonzalez. I am sure I am missing some of the adult finals, but I do want to give 2 special congratulations. The first to Pam Sharp's Weeamara. She became a Champion over the weekend, and even received a Best Cat final! This was Wee's first adult show too. The other special congratulations goes to Chuck and Connie Pealer for Hercules. He also became a Champion this weekend! La Vona Swearingen-Nelson's Simba received a final. Juan & Maribel Gonzalez of Elitebengals girl, Kenya, also received a final or two.

Even though quite a few of our usual exhibitors (and you all know who you are) were in Chicago this weekend, we had a wonderful show. So many beautiful cats, that every one should have come home with an arm full of rosettes.

I do want to congratulate the winners at the On Safari show. I look forward to reading how every one did.

pawprint With warmest of spotted bellies!
